Motorists driving past a Moray farm have been left wide-eyed at a striking method of promoting an upcoming breast cancer fundraiser.
Trisha Davidson is staging a strawberry tea at Netherton Farm, outside Keith, at the weekend.
The event will be the ninth of its kind and Mrs Davidson has decided to push the boat out when it comes to raising awareness of it this year.
Bales of hay have been brightly decorated in order to each resemble a woman’s chest inside a polka dot bra and placed in fields facing the A96 road between Aberdeen and Inverness.
Mrs Davidson, who works at the Boogie Woogie coffee shop in Keith, explained that the idea was inspired by a Young Farmers project last year where several bales were adorned with creative designs.
She added: “The bale art has been really popular with folk and so many have stopped to take photos of them.
“I usually only put up banners, but thought this would be a bit of fun and it’s for a good cause.
“There are so many people affected by breast cancer, I think we all know someone who has been hit by it in one way or another.
“So if these bales help to bring a few more people in then it will all have been worth it.”
Mrs Davidson has raised more than £11,000 for the Breast Cancer Care charity since holding her first strawberry tea in 2010.
She said she was inspired to organise the fundraiser after seeing other similar events in the area.
That first gathering was mainly for friends and relatives and was held in the family garage.
But it has grown hugely since then and last year more than 200 people turned up for a cup of tea and a fancy piece.
A few years ago, Mrs Davidson invested in a marquee to put up for the occasion.
She added: “People seem to keep coming back and sometimes the same folk will drop in twice on the day.”
The strawberry tea will run from 10am to 4pm on Saturday.
