Rescuers have recovered an empty boat found drifting off the Moray coast.
At around 12.15pm, HM Coastguard was asked to assist after reports of a 13ft vessel which was drifting in the Moray Firth about five miles north east of Burghead.
“The vessel, which did not have anybody on board, had broken its moorings. It was taken to Burghead harbour where it was secured at around 2.45pm,” said a coastguard spokeswoman.
An independent lifeboat attended, along with Burghead coastguard rescue team.
