Dance superstars Cascada and Alice Deejay will hit the decks at the MacMoray festival in Elgin next year.

The late 1990s and early 2000s chart acts are the latest to be added to the bill for the event in April.

They join the likes of B*Witched, the Bay City Rollers and Nazareth on the line-up.

The event was held for the first time this year with Bob Geldof’s Boomtown Rats, the Vengaboys and S Club appearing on the bill.

After the festival’s success, it has been extended to two days across the weekend of April 29 and 30 in Elgin’s Cooper Park.

Who are Cascada and Alice Deejay?

German dance act Cascada were established in 2004 and represented their home nation in the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest.

Their biggest hit is Everytime We Touch with other well known songs including What Hurts the Most and Miracle.

Despite the name, Alice Deejay is not a DJ called Alice. They are a Dutch dance group fronted by singer Judith Anna Pronk.

They became chart sensations in 1999 with their debut single Better Off Alone reaching number two in the UK charts.

Follow-up hits Back in My Life and Will I Ever also reached the top 10.

The group disbanded in 2002 before returning in 2021.

Tickets for the festival are available now on the MacMoray website.
