Football fans dug deep at the weekend to help send a Moray toddler to America for pioneering cancer treatment.
Forres three-year-old Eileidh Paterson has high-risk neuroblastoma, and her mother Gail hoping to raise £100,000 by next month so she can go to the US for medication currently available in the Britain.
Ms Paterson launched the fundraising campaign last month, and thanks to numerous efforts throughout Scotland and beyond, the tally is now hovering around the halfway mark.
But with Eileidh’s current treatment programme due to end this month, and there being a strong chance of her relapsing, her mother is eager to drive donations.
And on Saturday, football fans attending the Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Dundee Utd match helped the family get a step closer to their goal.
Prior to kick-off Caley Thistle manager John Hughes chatted with Ms Paterson and Eileidh and learned of their crusade.
Little Eileidh and her mother then did a lap of the pitch and collected change from supporters of both sides.
Last night Ms Paterson said her daughter was “in her element” as she interacted with well-wishers at the game.
She said: “Eileidh was shaking her bucket at everyone who passed her, and she absolutely loved being part of the day.
“It was the first time she’s done anything like this and she’s certainly got a knack for it.
“We managed to collect a fair amount, and had a really good response from the supporters.
“Despite the wet weather everyone seemed to have fun, and I would like to thank everyone who has helped get us to the stage we are at.”
Eileidh and her mum also helped launch a fundraising cycle challenge between Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC’s stadium and Glasgow’s Celtic Park.
Steve Taylor, of Stewarton; Paul Muldoon, of Glasgow; Robert Campbell, of Spean Bridge; and Kevan Lawler, of Wishaw are due to complete their 160-mile gruelling ride today.
Mr Taylor and the rest of the team will be met by Ms Paterson and Eileidh in Glasgow.
A group of marchers are also making the trek in aid of Eileidh, and yesterday Forres Mechanics players Scott Moore and Simon Allan raised a further £2,500 for the campaign when they had their legs waxed.
