A beer festival hit all the right notes to raise funds for a Moray brass band.
Organised by the Friends of Moray Concert Brass, the annual Beerfest pays for the ensemble to go on tour in Germany next year.
Hundreds of people packed out Bishopmill Hall in Elgin on Saturday to enjoy a range of beer and ales provided by Windswept Brewery from Lossiemouth.
As well as the drinks on offer, there was also a fitting musical accompaniment of Stein Brass, a local oompah group, comprised of many former members of the Moray group.
The final total is still be calculated, but the band hopes the event has raised more than £1,000 towards the tour, which will go to Wernigerode.
Glenn Munro is the conductor of the band, which has members as young as four all the way up to 21.
He said: “It was an excellent day, there must have been about 200 people there across the whole day.
“We need to wait and see how much we’ve raised as we still have a bill to come in.
“The money raised will help make the tour cheaper for the band members going.
“We will organise concerts in the local towns in that area for summer 2019, because brass is popular over in Germany and it always goes down really well.”
Last year, the band, which is part of Moray Music Centre, celebrated its 25th anniversary.
