Firefighters are dealing with a gorse blaze in the north-east this evening.
Five appliances from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) are battling the grass and tree fire outside of Turriff near Dunlugas.
The alarm was raised at 6pm tonight with around 15 firefighters attending the scene.
A spokesman for the SFRS said: “There is an area of grass and trees on fire just outside of Turriff that our crews are dealing with.
“It is an area of gorse and we have five appliances at the scene as it is still ongoing.”
It is not known how big an area has been affected.
