A good Samaritan is donating some of the profits she makes from her home-made dog snoods to a north-east animal charity.
Susan Provan has pledged some of her takings from the scarf-like garments to Willows Animal Sanctuary near Fraserburgh.
To cope with her complex PTSD, anxiety and depression, Mrs Provan said she “picked up making snoods really quickly”.
She said: “I struggle to volunteer as much as I would like so this seemed like a good way to be able to help.”
Mrs Provan started sharing her creations last month and was able to start working on a few orders – but then her beloved greyhound Sam was put to sleep.
She said: “He has always been my rock and his loss hit me hard, so I needed even more of a focus to keep going. I just want to do what I can to help these charities.”
The money is split between Willows Animal Sanctuary, Tribe Animal Sanctuary Scotland, the Greyhound Awareness League and the Scottish Greyhound Sanctuary.
