Fitness fans are being given the chance to get their hands on workout equipment from Crimond’s recently-closed gym.
Body-Tec Gym at Crimond Community Hub closed in October, just over two years after it first opened to locals in September 2017.
Now Crimond Charitable Trust, which owns and runs the centre in Logie Avenue, is selling the former community-run gym’s cardio and weight equipment at auction.
The hub encompasses not only Crimond Medical Centre but also a pharmacy, café, post office services, cancer support and a beauty salon.
Offers are being accepted on the equipment as 21 individual lots, or for all lots as a whole, through Inverurie-based Thainstone Specialist Auctions.
The items include seven pieces of weight equipment, three cardio machines and almost a dozen sets of weights and lifting equipment.
The equipment can be viewed at the hub next Monday and Tuesday, July 27 and 28, between 10am and 4pm, by appointment only.
Social distancing measures will be in place and face masks must be work. Tender closes on Wednesday, July 29 at 12pm.
The former gym studio space has been vacant since October and has been advertised for rent since January.
The charitable trust suggests the 218 square metre self-contained unit could accommodate a child day care or nursery centre.
