A north-east tractor rally which brought together dozens of machines raised more than £3,600 for two local charities.
Nearly 60 tractors took part in the annual Deveron Valley Tractor Road Run, starting off in Aberchirder and delighting spectators as they weaved through various towns and villages in the north-east.
Organisers have now finished counting the totals, and have split the cash between children’s respite charity Charlie House and the Banff and Buchan branch of stillbirth and neonatal death charity Sands.
Last night organiser Lynne Johnstone said: “There was 58 tractors this year on the 31-mile tour, it started from Aberchirder
Industrial estate heading to Turriff, including a two mile off road section thanks to Forglen Estate, there after along side of the Deveron to our lunchtime stop courtesy of Duncan and Steven Smith.”
After the lunch break the rally skirted Macduff before visiting Banff, Collenard and Tipperty.
Ms Johnstone added: “We would like to thank all participants, helpers, and the many, many people who donated time and money we couldn’t do it with out you.”
Charlie House is a north-east-based children’s respite service which supports children with complex disabilities and “life-limiting conditions”.
Their services include a monthly Saturday club and days out for siblings.
Sands is a national organisation which supports families affected by stillbirth and neonatal death.
