Three people have been rushed to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary following a four-vehicle smash involving a lorry on the A90.
The crash on the Aberdeen – Fraserburgh road, between three cars and an HGV, occurred close to the Cortes junction at about 4pm.
One car has overturned and landed on its roof.
An the fire and rescue service has confirmed one person has had to be cut free from their vehicle.
Two appliances from Fraserburgh, with 12 firefighters on board, were called to the scene.
Three ambulances were called to the scene and are now taking the three casualties to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
The road is currently blocked in both directions, with diversions in place at the Peterhead bypass.
