Police in Peterhead have charged three motorists with drink driving during a crackdown on anti-social behaviour.
Officers were responding to complaints from the community about driving standards between Saturday and Tuesday last week, focusing on road safety issues and road traffic offences.
During the operation, three people were stopped and found to be driving while over the limit.
A 34-year-old man was also stopped and arrested for driving without a licence, MOT, road tax or insurance.
Officer Scott Pennie, of the Buchan Community Policing Team, who led the operation, said that a number of other offences were identified and “appropriately” dealt with.
He added: “The drivers of the vehicles committing these offences risk having their vehicles seized and, over the forthcoming period, there will be increased patrols in the Buchan area in an effort to detect such offences.
“We are extremely grateful for the information provided to us by members of the public so far, and we would encourage them to continue informing us of any such offences.

The motorists charged by police are expected to appear at Peterhead Sheriff Court at a later date.
