With just over a week to go until the nation goes to the polls, parties are readying themselves for the final run in.

Labour are looking increasingly confident south of the border, with leader Jeremy Corbyn challenging the Prime Minister to face him in a debate later tonight.

Whether his new confidence will translate to votes in the ballot box remains to be seen but the Conservatives will undoubtedly be panicked at reports of a hung parliament in the offing.

Closer to home, the SNP remain almost certain to hold on to the majority of their seats but with leader Nicola Sturgeon’s approval plummeting and independence looking increasingly unpopular, what would a General Election win actually mean for them?

Corbyn challenges May to face-off at tonight’s leader’s debate… Everything you need to know

Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn has challenged the Prime Minister to a face off at tonight’s leader’s debate.

Theresa May previously declined to take part in a series of televised debates in the run up to next week’s General Election – a position also taken by Mr Corbyn.
