A major stretch of the A9 was closed for most of the day after a man was killed in a crash involving a van and a lorry.
Police were called to the scene near the Blair Atholl junction at around 7.45am this morning.
A man understood to be in his 40 suffered fatal injuries.
Next of kin have now been informed and formal identification will be carried out in due course.
The northbound carriageway was closed while investigations surrounding the collision were carried out. The road re-opened at around 3.30pm.
A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “Anyone who may have witnessed the collision is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.
“Drivers are thanked for their patience in this matter.”
