VIDEO: Homes evacuated as police seal off Scottish street following bomb scare

Police in Dundee sealed off part of a city street on Thursday after discovering a suspected explosive device.

Officers were seen in Craigie Avenue shortly before 1pm but it is understood the device was found during a search of a property in nearby Carlochie Place.

Police Scotland’s Tayside Division said: “Police Scotland can confirm whilst searching a property at Carlochie Place in Dundee a device has been discovered.

“The EOD (explosive ordnance device disposal unit) have been informed and are enroute.”
