Are you planning on enjoying the Bank Holiday by celebrating at home or attending a street party for the much-anticipated Platinum Jubilee?
No matter how prepared you might be for the celebrations, or a quiet weekend in if that’s more your thing, there always seems to be something you forget to pick up.
We have compiled a handy list of the opening hours of stores and supermarkets across the north and north-east for the Platinum Jubilee weekend.
Aldi
A spokeswoman has confirmed that Ald’s opening hours will not be affected by the Jubilee.
Most stores are open between 8am and 10pm on Friday and Saturday, and 10am until 4pm on Sunday.

Most of Asda’s larger stores will be open as normal, with the superstores being open between 6am and 12am, and smaller stores being open 7am until 10pm.

Co-op
Co-op stores will also be open as usual across the Bank Holiday weekend, according to a spokesman.
However, he pointed out that opening times may vary locally, with petrol filling stations and larger stores also having different times.

A spokesman for Morrisons confirmed stores will be open as normal across the weekend.
Most stores are open from 8am until 11pm, with petrol stations opening from 6am.

Sainsbury’s
Stores in Scotland are planned to stay open as normal, with supermarket stores being open 7am until 10pm and local stores staying open until 11pm.

Tesco
The majority of larger stores will be open at the normal time but close at 8pm.
Express stores will be open as normal – unless they are based in a shopping centre.
