This is the astonishing moment a car towing a caravan was captured travelling south in the fast lane of the north bound carriageway of the A9 Perth to Inverness road.
The dangerous mistake was captured on dashcam near the turn-off to Trinafour, a village in Perth and Kinross.
The clip shows other traffic on the road slowing down as they realise what is happening.
The driver towing the caravan grinds to a halt as it sinks in that other vehicles are travelling their way.
The A9 is often branded as Scotland’s deadliest road. Speed cameras have been installed along the route in a bid to clamp down on dangerous driving.
