Romantic love padlocks attached to a view point at a popular beauty spot are to be removed.
Similar to the love locks on Pont des Arts in Paris, the padlocks have been hung on steel rods woven together next to a waterfall.
But those running the national park where the new installation can be found are not fans of the metal declarations of love and have decided to remove any attached to the metal bars.
The collection of locks have been attached to Woven Sound, an installation at the Falls of Falloch in Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, Scotland.
The steel shelter sits over the edge of the cliff, allowing visitors a unique view of the falls.visitor, who did not want to be named, said: “It’s a shame as they’re an expression of love, but maybe they could put them somewhere else — like provide a separate fence.
“I’m not sure putting them on the actual sculpture is the right thing to do.”
A spokeswoman for Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park said they did not “encourage” the love locks.
She added: “It’s great to hear that people are coming to enjoy these new installations, which create great views of waterfalls, lochs, mountains and our beautiful landscapes.
“We are aware of the ‘love locks’ appearing, however we don’t encourage it and will remove any that are attached to what is in itself a great piece of artwork designed to enhance the view of Glen Falloch waterfalls.”
The Pont des Arts in Paris has become world famous for its massive collection of lockets hung on the bridge by lovers.
And last month authorities decided to remove the locks over fears the bridge could collapse from their weight.
