Police have confirmed they are treating the death of a man in Kirkcaldy as murder.
Darren Adie was found unconscious on Tweed Avenue near the junction with Lawson Street at around 6.45pm on Saturday.
The 42-year-old was then taken to Victoria Hospital where he died.
Following a post-mortem police are now treating his death as murder.
Detective Chief Inspector Raymond Brown, of the major investigation team, said: “Our condolences go to Darren’s family and friends at this extremely difficult time.
“A thorough and robust investigation is currently underway to establish the full circumstances surrounding Darren’s death.
“I want to thank the community for their cooperation so far and urge anyone with information who has not yet come forward to get in touch.”
