One of the original Paddington Bear creators has revealed that everyone’s favourite marmalade eating bear is not as innocent as we would like to think.
Barry Leith, who received a BAFTA for Paddington, says he filmed a porn film in the 1970s and Paddington took the lead role.
Leith said: “I’m trying to think how to put this delicately. He (Paddington) became aroused.”
Leith confirmed that bosses ordered the video was destroyed but it is not clear whether a copy still exists.
Leith’s confession comes shortly after author Michael Bond announced his disappointment at the new Paddington film being given a PG rating rather than a U for its apparent “mild bad language” and “mild sexual innuendo”.
