Nine Britons are feared dead in the Malaysia Airlines tragedy.
Original reports suggested nine UK nationals were among the 295 victims who died when Flight MH17 crashed in the Ukraine.
But a north-east couple from Methlick have revealed they and their baby were due to board the doomed plane from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur but switched to a later flight at the last minute because of a shortage of seats.
Barry and Izzy Sim, from Aberdeenshire said: “There must have been someone watching over us and saying ‘you must not get on that flight’.”
