Two officials named the suspects as French brothers Said Kouachi and Cherif Kouachi, in their early 30s, as well as 18-year-old Hamyd Mourad. The youngest man, Hamyd Mourad, has since handed himself in to police after reportedly seeing himself named on television in relation to the incident. One of the officials said they were linked to a Yemeni terrorist network. Cherif Kouachi was convicted in 2008 of terrorism charges for helping funnel fighters to Iraq’s insurgency and sentenced to 18 months in prison. IDs show the faces of the gunmen who had reportedly been on the radar of French authorities for years It was the deadliest attack in France in half a century. It is believed officers are looking for the two brothers in the Paris region. The gunmen stormed the Charlie Hebdo headquarters in Paris, killing 12 people, including the magazine’s editor and three other cartoonists as well as two police officers guarding the paper.
