Charlie Hebdo special edition: £500 on eBay anyone?

This week’s special edition of Charlie Hebdo is going for a whopping £500 on eBay.

The print run of the satirical newspaper was completely sold out in Paris with UK readers placing bids of up to £500 per copy.

Others are forking out £100 for shipped copies from a seller in Gloucester.

Following the recent attack on the publication that killed 12 people, the front cover features Prophet Muhammad crying while holding a ‘Je suis Charlie’ sign.

An editorial in the publications reads: “For the past week, Charlie, an atheist newspaper, has achieved more miracles than all the saints and prophets combined.

“The one we are most proud of is that you have in your hands the newspaper that we always made.”

It was reported that customers had queued for hours at newsstands in Paris to buy the publication.
