Today (August 7) is International Beer Day.

Started in 2007 by a California man Jesse Avshalomov and his colleagues the idea was to designate a day where people around the US and eventually, the world — could celebrate the popular alcoholic beverage.

Since then, people everywhere from Turkey to Australia have observed it.
