People have gone to the polls to make their voices heard on who they would like to represent their area.
This is the fourth time that a Scottish Council election vote has taken place using the single transferable vote system, after first coming into use in 2007.
We tracked the results as they came in. Here they are in full:

The council election picture across Scotland
The below map will show parties that take control of a local authority when all wards have been called.
NOC means no official control, and occurs when no one party has a clear majority.
Some councils with minority administrations will form coalitions between parties, but this is likely to take days or weeks to decide.

Aberdeen election results
Aberdeen City Council is made up of 13 electoral wards with 49 councillors elected to represent the city.

Aberdeenshire Council is made up of 19 electoral wards with 70 councillors elected to represent the area.

In the Fraserburgh and district ward, veteran councillor Brian Topping failed to be re-elected.
The Alba Party candidate has been a councillor in the region for almost four decades but quit the SNP before last year’s Holyrood election.
Moray election results
Moray Council is made up of eight electoral wards with 26 councillors elected to represent the area.

The Tories may be in decline across Scotland in this election – but they were able to buck the trend in Moray.
The party finished up with 11 councillors with the SNP on eight, despite the nationalists winning the most seats in 2017.
Labour managed to win three council seats in total in an area where they have typically struggled to gain support.
The Lib Dems and Greens both picked up one seat each, with two independent councillors also elected.
Highland election results
Highland Council is made up of 21 electoral wards with 74 councillors elected to represent the area.

Shetland election results
Shetland Islands Council is made up of seven electoral wards with 23 councillors to be elected to represent the area.

Western Isles election results
The Western Isles Council (Comhairle nan Eilean Siar) is made up of 11 electoral wards with 29 councillors to be elected to represent the area.

History has also been made in the Western Isles after two female councillors were voted in for the first time in a decade.
Oban election results
Also to keep an eye on in the north is the Oban area, which forms part of Argyll and Bute Council. There are two electoral wards in Oban with eight councillors to be elected to represent the area (out of 36 total seats on the Argyll and Bute Council).
