Mike Moir, NorDan UK Consultant, is taking on an exceptional challenge for the charity, The Blue Eyes Sports Foundation.
Mike (pictured below) is attempting to swim the distance from the NorDan Aberdeen office to the NorDan UK Head Office in Livingston! This is a distance of just over 200,000 metres (or 8,000 lengths of a swimming pool)!
The Blue Eyes Sports Foundation was set up in 2012 by NorDan UK Managing Director, Alex Brown, who has a vision of raising £50,000 to help support children get involved in sport.
Dedicating time, skills and resources, The Blue Eyes Sports Foundation now encourages greater access and inspires many young individuals to take up a sport. The Foundation’s motto is: Inspire, Include, Encourage.
Alex said: “I firmly believe that there is a direct link between sport and the motivation for children to succeed in life. The aim of the foundation is to inspire, include and encourage young people to participate in sport, enabling them to focus and gain passion for success.”
Mike has chosen this deserving charity as it is very close to his heart and it is a cause which he feels very passionate about.
