Stay at the seaside at St Annes-on-Sea

St Annes-on-Sea is a seaside resort which offers a contrasting atmosphere and style and is much more relaxed than its bustling neighbour Blackpool, just along the road.

In the opposite direction is the former fishing village of Lytham, with its tree lined streets and pavement cafes, making a nice alternative.

During your trip you will be staying at the 3-star Inn on the Prom Hotel and Leisure Complex, which is situated opposite the south promenade and is perfectly placed for your comfort and convenience.

There is a restaurant, ballroom, comfortable lounges and bar. Hotel facilities include leisure centre with bar, indoor swimming pool, sauna, gym and squash court. All bedrooms are en-suite and have television, telephone, hairdryer and tea & coffee making facilities. The hotel has a lift.

Included in your trip is luxury coach travel, morning coffee, 4 nights DBB at the Inn on the Prom Hotel (including use of the leisure facilities), excursions to Southport and Blackpool, free time to enjoy St Annes and Lytham and two nights of entertainment in the hotel.

The coach will leave Aberdeen at 8.25am on Monday, June 24, 2019. Prices start from just £80.

Head southwest to one of Scotland’s most beautiful islands

The Isle of Arran is the most southerly Scottish island, sitting in the Firth of Clyde between Ayrshire and Kintyre.

This island may be small, just 19 miles long by 10 miles wide, but Arran has a remarkable diversity of landscapes and seascapes.

The pretty villages along the beautiful coastline are complemented by a rugged and mountainous interior in the north and green rolling hills and woodland in the south.

The excursions include a tour of the island, stopping at various places of interest along the way.  We travel to the coastal town of Brodick, which includes a visit the impressive Brodick Castle & Country Park, with its displays of fine paintings, antique furniture and beautiful gardens. You will also take the ferry from Lochranza to Cleonaig before enjoying a light lunch at the The Grey Gull Hotel, Lochgilphead.

You will stay at The Kinloch Hotel, which has a superb seafront location in the village of Blackwaterfoot. This family run hotel offers guests a friendly, relaxed atmosphere while ensuring all your needs are catered for.

The restaurant has a variety of dishes to suit every taste, prepared using the best of local produce. The leisure facilities include an indoor swimming pool, sauna and fitness room. For your convenience there is a lift to most floors in the hotel.

Included in the cost of the trip is luxury coach travel, morning coffee on the first day, return ferry crossing from Ardrossan to Brodick, 4 nights DBB at the Kinloch Hotel, return ferry crossing from Lochranza to Cleonaig, a light lunch at Grey Gull Hotel, a whisky distillery tour and tasting, admission to Brodick Castle & Gardens and an excursion around Arran.

The trip leaves Aberdeen at 8.25am on Monday, May 13, 2019, with prices from £453.
