Sam Cosgrove, Connor McLennan and Max Lowe opened their accounts for Aberdeen as the Dons cruised to a 4-1 victory over hapless St Mirren.
Cosgrove nodded home his first goal for the Dons in the 26th minute before McLennan marked his first start by finding the back of the net with a sumptuous strike four minutes later.
Max Lowe, the on-loan Derby defender, notched his first strike for the Dons four minutes before the interval as the Reds surged ahead.
Cosgrove got his second in the 66th minute to make it the third time in a row the Dons had put four goals past St Mirren at Pittodrie.
Simeon Jackson grabbed a consolation for the visitors but the game was well over as a contest by then.
McLennan was handed his first start for an injury-hit Dons as Derek McInnes made four enforced changes to the team that started the 1-0 defeat against Celtic.
With Scott McKenna missing through suspension and Niall McGinn, Stevie May and James Wilson all injured, there were starts for Lowe, Cosgrove and the returning Lewis Ferguson.

The Buddies were first to threaten with Jackson capitalising on some slack play by Gary Mackay-Steven before drilling wide of the Aberdeen goal from just inside the penalty area.

A goal was coming and it arrived in the 26th minute when Mackay-Steven sent in an inviting cross that was nodded home by Cosgrove for his second career goal and first for the Dons.
Mackay-Steven cut inside before smashing an effort off the post with Craig Samson well beaten before the Dons doubled their lead in the 30th minute.
It was a moment to remember for McLennan whose shot with his right foot from the edge of the area flew into the top corner.
Things got even better for the Dons four minutes before the break when a Mackay-Steven shot fell kindly for Lowe, who had all the time he wanted to slot past Samson.
The hosts should have had a penalty before the break when Jack Baird hauled down Graeme Shinnie as he attempted to pull the trigger but referee Alan Muir waved play on.
Aberdeen goalkeeper Joe Lewis, celebrating his 31st birthday, almost gave the Buddies a route back into the game when his clearance cannoned off the back of Jackson and bounced towards goal but the former Norwich stopper raced back to claw the ball away just before it crossed the line.
Connor McLennan’s first start came to a premature end when he was forced off in the 56th minute with an arm injury and was replaced by Chris Forrester.
Cosgrove doubled his tally 10 minutes later when he was in the right place to steer home a Lowe cross with Samson diverting the ball into the net via the post.
Former Don Cammy Smith capitalised on an error by Gleeson before setting up Jackson who calmly lifted the ball over the advancing Lewis to pull one back for the Buddies.
