St Johnstone captain Joe Shaughnessy has been linked with a return to Aberdeen.
The 26-year-old moved from Pittodrie to the Perth club in 2015 and has established himself as a key player in Tommy Wright’s team at McDiarmid Park.
But the former Republic of Ireland under-21 international is out of contract at the end of the season and, according to a report in The Sun, the Dons have made contact with the defender about a possible Pittodrie return next season.
Derek McInnes made his first signing of the January transfer window yesterday by bringing Max Lowe back on loan from Derby County for the second half of the campaign.
