Apollon Limassol midfielder Ally Reynolds has warned the Dons to write off Cypriot football at their peril.
The Scot is relishing the prospect of returning to his homeland when Apollon travel to Pittodrie for tomorrow’s Europa League third qualifying round first leg.
Reynolds, who was part of the Hibs youth academy, moved to the Mediterranean island at the age of 10 when his dad was posted there on military service.
The 20-old-year said: “We’ve got players who can hurt Aberdeen, we just need to take our chances when we get them.
“When I come home and mention to my family about Cypriot football, I think it’s really underrated.
“No one really knows about it, but last year Apoel beat Atletico Bilbao in the last 32 and ended up being put out by Anderlecht.
“We know Aberdeen are a very good side and that it’s going to be difficult.”
