Aberdeen defender Scott McKenna has picked up the SPFL goal of the season award for his 40-yard wonder-strike against Kilmarnock.
McKenna’s long-range strike put the Dons on their way to a 3-1 win at Pittodrie in January, with the Scotland international also finding the target in the same game with a header.

His goal took 21 per cent of the vote on the SPFL’s Twitter feed, ahead of Dumbarton’s Dimitris Froxylias and Celtic defender Kieran Tierney, who scored 17 and 16 per cent respectively.
It has been a stellar season for McKenna, who cemented himself as a Dons regular and picked up his first Scotland cap against Costa Rica in March. He signed a contract extension to 2023 and picked up three awards at the Dons’ end of season dinner.
McKenna made his third appearance for his country on Tuesday night, as Scotland went down 2-0 to Peru in Lima.
