Aberdeen will appeal the red card shown to Mikey Devlin in Saturday’s 2-0 defeat to Kilmarnock.
Match referee Craig Thomson sent the defender off in the fourth minute for a foul on Killie striker Eamonn Brophy.
Thomson deemed the foul as denying the attacker a goalscoring opportunity.
Brophy was 40 yards from goal when he was sent tumbling by Devlin but television evidence shows the attacker pulling at Devlin’s shirt to get goalside of the Dons centre-half while Shay Logan is also in a covering position.
Brophy went on to score the first goal of the win for the Steve Clarke’s side.
