Inverness Caley Thistle have completed the signing of Spanish striker Dani Lopez on a one year deal.
Lopez impressed in Caley Jags’ last two matches as a trialist, and joins as a free agent after leaving La Roda in his homeland at the end of last season.
The 29-year-old came through the academy system at La Liga side Atletico Madrid, and also played for Getafe and Espanyol’s B teams prior to moving to English football with Stevenage Borough in 2012, where he linked up with Caley Thistle midfielder Greg Tansey.
It was during his spell with then English League 1 side Boro that he first caught the eye of Caley Thistle boss John Hughes during his short-lived time in charge at Hartlepool, with Lopez going on to have loan spells with Aldershot Town and Barnet.
