Caley Thistle attacker Miles Storey has not ruled out prolonging his stay in Inverness next season.

The on-loan Swindon Town attacker was on target in Saturday’s 4-1 win at Partick Thistle on Saturday, which secured the club’s top flight status.

Storey, who has scored 11 goals for Caley Thistle this season, would be open to remaining at the Caledonian Stadium on a permanent basis.

He said: “I’m out of contract in the summer so I have to try to do as much as I can in the last three games and hopefully someone will take a punt and I will be playing at a decent standard next season.

“I would be happy to come back to Scotland. I have really enjoyed it. I like the league, it’s physical and I have been elbowed in the face a few times, but I have enjoyed playing for Inverness. It is a great team and we have good coaches and a good manager.

“The supporters and facilities are great, I can’t talk highly enough of the place.

“I’m open to anything really. I have not had an offer from Inverness, but I will see what happens in the next couple of weeks.”

Carl Tremarco, Josh Meekings and Jordan Roberts were also on the scoresheet as Caley Thistle swept aside a poor Partick Thistle, who scored a late consolation goal through Kris Doolan.

Storey added: “The second half was the best 45 minutes of the season. If we had won that game by more than six, I don’t think anyone would have been surprised.

“We had shots off the line, shots blocked and their goalkeeper made some great saves.

“We got the goal straight away and that set the tone.

“We knew coming into the game we could secure our place in the league and we did that.

“The manager is always saying I should score more than one in a game and it should have happened at Firhill.

“A couple of late goals here and there stopped us getting into the top six so we are frustrated with that.

“But I think we can keep things going in the last three matches, we want to finish seventh and show we are the best off the rest.”
