Aberdeen goalkeeper Joe Lewis is determined to embark on a William Hill Scottish Cup run to banish memories of their Betfred Cup disappointment.

Lewis was hit hard by Aberdeen’s 3-0 final defeat by Celtic in November and sees the other cup as a route to redemption.

Speaking ahead of the fourth-round visit of Stranraer, Lewis said on the club’s official website: “The League Cup final was a bitter disappointment and losing it the way we did just makes us all the more determined to be successful in the Scottish Cup. We want to put things right after losing that final.
