- Cesc Fabregas has emerged as a top target for Juventus. The Serie A club did want to sign Nemanja Matic but were told her wasn’t available but Cesc is. (Tottosport)
- Middlesbrough have made a £6m bid for Scotland and Hull left-back Andrew Robertson. (Daily Express)
- Valencia and Germany defender Shkodran Mustafi has agreed personal terms with Arsenal, with the Spanish club prepared to accept a bid upwards of £25m for the 24-year-old. (Guardian)
- Chelsea have made a £39m bid for 23-year-old Sporting Lisbon midfielder Joao Mario. (Jornal De Noticias)
- Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola wants a ‘sweeper-keeper’ and will look to replace Joe Hart, 29, with Barcelona’s Marc-Andre ter Stegen, 24. (Daily Mirror)

And Finally…
It may not be football but it’s definitely worth a mention.
Aberdeen rower Katherine Grainger has become the most decorated female British Olympian of all time after winning silver in the women’s double sculls with partner Vicky Thornely at Rio 2016.
It was a fifth Olympic medal for Grainger who won gold at London four years ago and silvers at Sydney, Athens and Beijing.
Grainger and Thornley came agonisingly close to gold but were pipped at the end by Poland’s Magdalena Fularczyk-Kozlowska and Natalia Madaj in a very close contest.
