New Brora player-manager Richard Brittain’s first game in charge of the club ended in a goal-less draw against League 2 side Clyde at Dudgeon Park.

Brora’s Ally Macdonald saw an effort cleared off the away team’s goal-line by Chris Smith while Clyde’s best chance fell to Scott Ferguson, who nodded an effort against the post before sending the rebound over.

Alloa racked up an impressive 5-0 victory against Inverurie Locos.

The Scottish Championship side took the lead in the seventh minute thanks to a superb curling free-kick from Steven Hetherington.

In the second period, Kyle McAusland and Omar Kader both helped themselves to doubles as Alloa found the back of the net a further four times at Harlaw Park.

A 21st-minute goal from Grant Noble handed Fraserburgh a 1-0 victory against a Dundee United XI.

The Broch scored when a cross from Graham Johnston was met by Ryan Christie and he knocked the ball into the path of Noble, who fired home.

Buckie Thistle defeated Montrose 3-1, with Jay Cheyne, Chris Angus and Darren Wood netting for the hosts.

Gary Fraser was on target for the Gable Endies.

A youthful Thistle side beat Buckie Rovers 2-1, also at Victoria Park.

Elliot McDonald and Robert Scott netted for the Jags, with Paul Mellon getting his name on the scoresheet for the junior team.

Cove Rangers won 2-0 away at Spartans thanks to goals in either half from Connor Scully and Daryl Nicol.

Liam Forbes scored twice for Deveronvale as they continued their pre-season preparations by earning a 2-2 draw against North Region junior side Culter at Princess Royal Park.

Formartine won 3-1 against East Stirlingshire at Stirling University.

Stuart Anderson broke the deadlock in the 18th minute and the away side extended their advantage courtesy of a goal from Stuart Smith.

David McKenna struck just before the break for East Stirlingshire, but Formartine had the last word as Garry Wood got his name on the scoresheet.

Turriff took on a Celtic XI at The Haughs and suffered a 2-1 defeat, with United’s goal coming from Nikolas Wozniak.

Huntly beat Aberdeen junior team Banks o’ Dee 2-1, with Adam McNamee and Craig Dorrat scoring early on for the Christie Park club.

Dee pulled one back in the second period thanks to a goal from Ross Forsyth.

Kris Duncan, Stuart Massie and Ricky Henderson were on target for Keith as they beat Craigroyston 3-1.

Wick’s game at home to the Inverness Caley Thistle under-20s was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
