Who: Almost 200 of Aberdeen’s glitterati dressed to impress to celebrate the charity evening hosted by the hilarious Edward Reid, of Britain’s Got Talent fame, with entertainment provided by X Factor finalist Nicholas McDonald and the glamorous girls from Glitz Aberdeen, who all put on a show that saw the dance floor full all night.
Why: The two businesswomen, from Bridge of Don, decided to join forces to raise funds for two charities close to their hearts – Alzheimer’s Scotland and Friends of Anchor – with all funds raised from the night being kept in the city to support local needs.
A total of £6,200 was raised from auction prizes, all of which were kindly donated by local companies. Total funds raised are still being counted.
The evening was hailed as a huge success, with calls from attendees for it to become an annual event.
