The Slater clan has gained a new recruit as EastEnders welcomed Katie Jarvis to the cast.
The actress, who appeared opposite Michael Fassbender in 2009 film Fish Tank, joins the soap as Hayley Slater – Stacey’s first cousin.
Although she has already appeared on the Square in recent weeks, she outed herself as a Slater in Tuesday night’s episode and is secretly plotting against her cousin’s ex, Martin Fowler.

Hayley admitted she will “fight dirty if she has to” but it is unclear what her and Stacey have been planning as she spent the afternoon with Martin.
After he failed to return the children to Stacey at the agreed time – thanks to Hayley’s persuasion – the police had to intervene.
She was then seen at her cousin’s house celebrating their trick on Martin.
Jarvis said: “I am really excited to join a team of such lovely, talented people and become part of such an iconic show.
“I’ve always loved the Slater family so being the newest member, I couldn’t have asked for anything more. It’s going to be so much fun and I cannot wait to see what’s in store for Hayley.”
