Britney Spears announces further UK dates for Piece Of Me tour

Britney Spears has added a new London date to her Piece Of Me tour, as well as shows in Birmingham and Blackpool.

The singer has also added a stop in Paris after huge demand for tickets and announced that singer Pitbull will join her for the European dates.

Spears will return to the UK in the summer for a string of live shows, including at Brighton Pride on August 4.

Spears will play the Scarborough Open Air Theatre on August 17, the Manchester Arena on August 18, the 3Arena in Dublin on August 20, the SSE Hydro in Glasgow on August 22 and London’s O2 Arena on August 24 and 25.

She will now also play at the O2 on August 26, as well as the UK Genting Arena in Birmingham on August 31 and the UK Tower Festival in Blackpool on September 1.

Entertainment company Live Nation announced the news saying: “Due to overwhelmingly rapid sales of legendary pop icon Britney Spears’ exclusive last time ever, limited tour of her award-winning and record-breaking show, “Britney: Piece of Me,” four additional European shows have been added due to demand, including a third show at London, UK’s iconic O2 Arena.

“The show will also now visit Paris, France and Birmingham and Blackpool, UK.”

Spears ended her Las Vegas residency on December 31 with a live performance from the Planet Hollywood hotel and casino that was broadcast on US television.

Spears opened the show in December 2013, giving more than 250 performances and selling more than 930,000 tickets.

Tickets for the new shows will go on sale on February 13.
