Not one, but two dates and potentially a kiss in store for Love Island’s Dr Alex

The tide looks to be turning on Alex George’s luck as he secures two dates in the Love Island villa in tonight’s episode.

New girls Ellie Brown and Zara McDermott both pick the 27-year-old – who has yet to find a romantic match – for their date night.

Both receive a text in which they are called to “play the field” and each pick three boys to go on a date with during three different courses.

Alex appears pumped up for his rendezvous with each girl and toys with the idea of his first kiss in the villa.

While he gets tips from the boys, the A&E doctor confides in them, saying: “If it goes well I might go for the kiss tonight!”

Meanwhile, Ellie and Zara’s other picks have Rosie Williams and Laura Anderson feeling nervous.

Ellie picks Wes Nelson for the main course portion of her three-date dinner, leaving Laura feeling insecure.

“Obviously I’m not over the moon that Wes is going on a date with Ellie but I’m going to try and be controlled,” she admits in the Beach Hut.

She continues: “I feel a little bit sad. I am just feeling so insecure and it’s rubbish. I’m a confident woman – what is wrong with me?!”

Laura later tells the girls of her “gut feeling” that Wes is bored of her and will get with Ellie.

She may be on to something, as Wes confesses to Adam Collard and Jack Fincham that he finds Ellie “really attractive” and is considering whether he could be happier with another girl.

“Mate, I have not had a single chat with one other girl other than Laura since I’ve been here,” he says.

Adam reveals he is excited to get to know Zara ahead of their date, despite Rosie telling him that she feels shaky following the new girls’ arrival.

When Jack asks him who he would approach between Rosie and Zara, Adam tells him he would choose Zara.

Love Island continues on ITV2 at 9pm.
