Emily Atack has said she is not dating her I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! co-star Harry Redknapp’s famous son Jamie – yet.

The Inbetweeners actress, who came second place behind winner Harry in the jungle reality series, has also said that Jamie, 45, once asked for a picture with her several years ago.

Atack, 28, expressed an interest in the retired footballer while taking part in I’m A Celebrity with his football manager father, sparking speculation that there could be a romance in their future.

Asked if she has had a call from Jamie, who recently divorced wife Louise Redknapp, Atack told ITV’s Loose Women: “Oh poor Jamie. I’m not even going out with him yet and I’ve already ruined his life.

The Loose Women panellists picked up on Atack saying “yet”.

Atack said: “Jamie, I’m so sorry, if you’re watching this, you poor thing.

“I met him once. He actually asked me for a photo a few years ago because he’s an Inbetweeners fan. So yeah, we’ll see. At the moment I’m single and happy.”

She later joked: “You know, Jamie, if you want to call me…”

During the I’m A Celebrity reunion programme last week, Harry told Atack that he did not think his son “could pull” her, after initially saying he thought she had “no chance” as a prospective date for Jamie due to her appearance in the jungle.

Atack also told of the positive impact appearing in the series has had on her.

She said it has been “the biggest blessing” and told viewers: “If you ever get a chance to just plonk yourself out of the world for a bit – do it! It’s so amazing.

“I thought I’d miss my phone, I thought I’d miss all these things… I didn’t.

“I was stripped of all of these things and I was the happiest I’ve ever been. You don’t have any of the stresses of everyday life. You just have to worry about keeping a fire going and if people are OK in themselves.”

She added: “I felt like I went cold turkey with everything. I learnt, it’s going to sound really cheesy, but you learn about other beauties. In this day and age with social media it’s all about looking perfect… in there, there’s just absolutely none of that.

“There’s so many different kinds of beauty. Anne (Hegerty)’s mind for example, she’s one of the most beautiful women I’ve ever met because she’s so bright, Fleur (East)’s determination and her talent.”
