Saira Khan has been eliminated from Dancing On Ice.

The Loose Women star received her marching orders after losing to cricketer Ryan Sidebottom in the skate-off on Sunday’s live show.

“It’s fine, honestly,” said the presenter.

“I’ve had the time of my life. What an amazing experience!”

Khan said it had been an “amazing journey” and called her professional skating partner Mark Hanretty “an incredible human being”.

She and Sidebottom were in the skate-off after ending up at the bottom of the leaderboard following a public vote.

The judges – Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, Ashley Banjo and Jason Gardiner – said it was a very close call but that Sidebottom deserved to stay.

The cricket star, who is paired with skater Brandee Malto, was returning to the competition after being sidelined due to a groin strain last week.

Sunday night’s fairytale-themed instalment also saw performances from Jane Danson, Melody Thornton, Brian McFadden, Gemma Collins, Wes Nelson, Saara Aalto and James Jordan.

Coronation Street star Danson earned 23.5 out of 40, her highest score to date, just hours after she fainted during rehearsals.

Reality TV star Collins was in tears after getting just 13.5 – but managed to avoid the skate-off.

Love Islander Nelson was delighted to win the highest score of the series – 34 – after pulling off the daring headbanger move, in which the man swings his partner around by the feet.

But his victory was short-lived as former Strictly dancer Jordan received 36.5, with a nine or 9.5 from all of the judges.

Jordan said he was shocked to have done so well, adding: “I’ve struggled all week.”

Dancing On Ice continues on ITV.
