Tennis ace Martina Navratilova, Love Island star Megan Barton-Hanson and EastEnders actress Laurie Brett will strip off on TV to raise awareness of cancer.

They are among a group of stars taking part in ITV’s The All New Monty Ladies’ Night: Who Bares Wins, a follow-on from last year’s The Real Full Monty: Ladies’ Night, which ran alongside an all-male version.

Joining Navratilova, Barton-Hanson and Brett are So Solid Crew’s Lisa Maffia, The Only Way Is Essex star Danielle Armstrong and Benidorm actress Crissy Rock.

The show sees male and female celebrities in two separate programmes take to the stage to bare all, learning dance routines and stripteases to demonstrate the importance of shedding body inhibitions and checking intimate areas to prevent cancer.

The male version of this year’s programme includes Love Island winner Jack Fincham, Strictly Come Dancing professional Gorka Marquez and snooker star Willie Thorne.

The women will be joined by Victoria Derbyshire and Coleen Nolan, who took part in last year’s programme, and Diversity dancer Ashley Banjo, who is on the men’s team.

They will show them the ropes and provide the support and motivation to inspire them to put on an extravagant performance while helping them to encourage women to examine their breasts, have regular cervical smear checks and to be more health aware.

BBC broadcaster Derbyshire said: “I’m so, so proud of how many women took on board our message of checking themselves after last year’s show that I’m totally thrilled to be part of it again.”

Loose Women panellist Nolan added: “I can’t quite believe I’m putting myself through this again.

“But the response last year from millions of women feeling empowered to check themselves was so incredible that I’m absolutely thrilled to be back leading our new line-up of fabulous ladies help break down barriers and get women talking about health checks.

“Having seen first hand how critical finding cancer early can be, I really hope we can reach and encourage as many women as possible to check their breasts as last time, which ultimately can save lives.”

The Full Monty: Ladies’ Night recently won a Broadcast Award for best popular factual programme of 2018.
