Pensioner charged after at least £10,000 of drugs found at village home

A pensioner has been charged after the discovery of at least £10,000 of cannabis in a north-east village.

Emergency services were called to the property on Logie Road, Crimond at around 2am yesterday to deal with a fire in a garden shed.

A 67-year-old man was arrested with alleged drugs offences following the discovery.

He is expected to appear at Peterhead Sheriff Court today.
