The A90 just south of Peterhead is closed following a serious two vehicle crash near the power station.
Police are carrying out investigative work into the accident, with the road closed between the A982 junction and the B910 Station Road junction.
There is a diversion in operation via the Toll of Birness, Ring road roundabout A982, A90 and A975 at Cruden Bay. Police directing traffic.
One man has died and another suffered serious injuries as a result of the crash. Emergency services are continuing to operate on the scene.
