A man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving after three people were killed in a road crash.
Marin Rachev, 34, appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Thursday following the crash on the A90 dual carriageway in Aberdeenshire.
Two men and a woman died in the collision, which involved a bus and two cars and occurred at Glenbervie at around 4.30pm on Tuesday.
Rachev was charged under the Road Traffic Act and made no plea when he appeared in court.
He was remanded in custody and is expected to return to court within the next eight days.
The three people who died – understood to be foreign nationals – were travelling in a Renault Megane.
No passengers on the Scottish Citylink bus involved were hurt but the driver suffered minor injuries.
A man and woman in the second car, a Ford B Max, were taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with non-life threatening injuries.
