A woman has died in hospital after her car left the road in Inverclyde.
The 38-year-old’s grey Ford Fiesta crashed at Shankland Road around 11.15pm on Saturday.
She was taken to Inverclyde Royal Hospital, but later died.
Sergeant Roy McCarney, of the Road Policing Unit, said: “The woman’s family have been informed and our thoughts are with them at this difficult time.
“We are carrying out enquiries and would like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and who may have witnessed this to contact us.
“I would also appeal to any motorists who were driving in the area and who might have dashcam footage which could assist us to get in touch.”
