A man broke his kneecap while “goading” a group of football fans at a railway station.
The Hibernian supporters were at Edinburgh Waverley station on Sunday March 1 when the incident happened at around 9.30pm.
The man is reported to have been goading the group before he jumped on one fan, causing both to fall to the floor.
Due to the fall, the suspect suffered a broken kneecap and femur – but still managed to assault another one of the fans.
British Transport Police (BTP) have identified the suspect but are appealing for witness accounts from the Hibs supporters who were targeted.
Officers are particularly keen to speak to the two people who were assaulted.
Anyone with information is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or call 0800 40 50 40 and quote reference number 353 of 01/03/20, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
