Russell Westbrook became just the second player in NBA history to post 20 points, 20 rebounds and 20 assists in a game as the Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 119-103.

The historic triple-double came 51 years since Wilt Chamberlain achieved the same feat on February 2, 1968 – the only other player to have done so.

A rebound in the final minute against the Lakers helped Westbrook clinch the mark, as he finished with 20 points, 20 rebounds and 21 assists. It also marked his 31st triple-double of the season.

The Thunder improved their record to 45-33 for the season, winning for the third time in 10 games.

The San Antonio Spurs have the same record this season after claiming their 21st win in a row at home over the Atlanta Hawks.

DeMar DeRozan led the way with 29 points as the Spurs rallied from nine points down to claim a 117-111 victory.

A 15-4 run in the fourth quarter helped them take a 108-104 lead with just under four minutes to go.

Stephen Curry moved above Chris Mullin and into fourth in the Golden State Warriors’ list of all-time scorers during their 116-102 victory over the Denver Nuggets.

The top two seeds in the Western Conference went head-to-head at Oracle Arena and Steve Kerr’s side came out on top, with DeMarcus Cousins finishing with 28 points, 12 rebounds and five assists and Kevin Durant scoring 21 points before being ejected for two technical fouls.

The Warriors are now 53-24 and the Nuggets 51-26 for the season.

James Harden scored 36 points and had 10 assists as the Houston Rockets eased to a 130-105 victory over the Sacramento Kings to make it 50 wins for the season.
