Notts County secured a first win in the National League with a 2-0 victory at 10-man Harrogate.
The home side were under the cosh in the early stages, with goalkeeper James Belshaw denying Sam Osborne and Enzio Boldewijn in quick succession.
Notts County keeper Sam Slocombe was called into action to deny Brendan Kiernan from close range shortly before Harrogate were awarded a penalty when Dion Kelly-Evans collided with Mark Beck.
Joe Leesley sent Slocombe the wrong way but the ball flew past the post.
The Magpies won a penalty of their own on the stroke of half-time when an acrobatic effort from Kristian Dennis was handled on the line by Will Smith.
Smith was sent off and Dennis stroked home his spot-kick.
Notts County defender Zoumana Bakayogo cleared a Jack Muldoon effort off the goal-line and the visitors made the game safe two minutes from time through a stopping header from Boldewijn.
